Tashauna Merriweather, LMHC

Navigating life’s challenges can be difficult at times. Are you in search of a safe and confidential space to sort out these challenges with someone that you can trust? I strive to establish a comfortable environment where each person feels supported to become the best version of themselves. We can work together using your existing strengths. I would like to help you on your journey.

I received my master’s degree is in Counseling Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling in 2003 from Ball State University. I have a license in mental health counseling (LMHC), license in clinical addictions (LCAC), and a national certification in counseling (NCC). I have been in the field for the last 19 years providing therapeutic services primarily in a community mental health setting.

I have worked as a therapist, clinical supervisor, clinical program coordinator, and manager for adult outpatient clinics specializing in the treatment of borderline personality disorder, complex trauma, co-occurring substance use disorders, and mood disorders. I have previously worked to license foster parents and help to reunify families as well. My passion for helping others has led me work in private practice at this time.

My focus is on overall wellness for the mind and the body. Some of the approaches I use are mindfulness with training from the Center for Mind Body Wellness (CMBM), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
