We all carry our past experiences with us. They help to shape us into who we are today and fill the pages of our book of life. Some of these experiences bring us joy, while others bring us heartbreak. There are some that follow a clear path, while there are others that challenge us with unexpected twists and turns. As we move through the chapters in our book of life, there are times when we can steer easily through these experiences.
However, for those times that you may need support with navigating, I am here to help you reintroduce control and provide you with the tools needed to move forward. Together we can define healthy steps that will increase self-and help you achieve fulfillment and satisfaction with your life.
I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Indiana University and have spent the past several years in a high school setting working with teens and family members by providing individual and family counseling services. While teens and families have been a recent focus, during my over 15-year career in the social work field, I have also worked with many adult women, addressing triggers for depression and anxiety symptoms, as well as the geriatric population and their family members, specifically addressing the needs of those in a residential environment.
In addition, as a military spouse, my personal and professional experience has aided with the treatment of service members and their families. When sitting down to discuss a custom individualized plan of care, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based, and/or Psychodynamic treatment modalities. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I take into consideration all influences on one’s life, and approach each session with an open mind. My goal is to provide quality services, and to treat each person with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
When I am not working, I can be found loving on my two rescued beagles, exploring Indianapolis, and enjoying any time spent with family and friends.
