Heather Short, LCSW
Deciding to meet with a therapist is a first step in overcoming obstacles you are facing. We all hit roadblocks in our lives, and finding someone to help us navigate through these difficult times can make the journey less painful. I am passionate about making this experience as comfortable as possible for my clients. It’s important that you feel safe and supported during our time together.
My approach is to maintain a strengths based and an individualized approach in order to help you overcome the barriers you are facing. I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have experience working with children, adults, and families. I have spent the last 9 years working in community mental health, child welfare, and in the school setting.
I utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach with my clients. This approach explores how our thoughts/feelings/actions are interconnected. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. It is important to me that during our time together you feel supported and encouraged in your journey.
I look forward to hearing from you and starting this journey with you.
